Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Fixed Asset Accountant for our Client located in Hartsville, SC

  • Monday morning - Run all fixed asset reports (Fixed Asset Ledger, Additions, Retirements, Transfers & Comparison) and generate into Excel Spreadsheets'.
  • Compare Fixed Asset Ledger to Balances Sheet by Business Unit.
  • Start posting Fixed Asset Reports to Excel File Reports.
  • Process any JE's needed for FAL vs. BS (Validations, Splits.
  • Process Accounts Receivable credits and debits to noted projects as needed.
  • Upload all approved Project Journal Entries to Oracle prior to period closing Wednesday at 3PM
  • Send to June Johnson all approved General Ledger Journal Entries prior to period closing Thursday at6PM.
  • Thursday morning - Run all Project Accounting Reports and generate into Excel Spreadsheets When time permits, post all available information to the monthly Net Fixed Asset Roll forward reports, Friday morning, Profit Day - Final Fixed Asset Ledger vs, Balance Sheet
  • Start posting information to Net Fixed Asset Roll forward reports, begin to research any variances.
  • Review monthly cap stats when requested, identify variances, and communicate to FA Supervisor.
  • Wednesday end of day, complete Net Fixed Asset Roll forward reports and notify FA Supervisor.
  • If variances remain on individual Business Unit Net Fixed Asset Roll forward reports, identify all issues to the FA Supervisor and let them know you are continuing to research the variance.
  • When informed, email final cap stats report to Business Units
  • Continue research of individual Business Unit Net Fixed Asset Roll forward reports if needed.
  • Begin compiling and reviewing fixed asset processing submissions for month end close.
  • Submit fixed asset processing for review by FA Supervisor.
  • Communicate to business unit, plant, or project manager any issues with fixed asset processing submissions identified by FA Supervisor, resubmit when issues are resolved
  • Continue research of individual Business Unit Net Fixed Asset Roll forward reports if needed, begin compiling and reviewing fixed asset processing submissions for month end close Submit fixed asset processing for review by FA Supervisor.
  • Communicate to business unit, plant, or project manager any issues with fixed asset processing submissions identified by FA Supervisor, resubmit when issues are resolved
  • Complete all fixed asset processing by Wednesday end of the day, notify FA Supervisor if Complete review of all current month fixed asset processing by Thursday end of day, identify and correct and issues, communicate any additional corrective measures needed to the FA Supervisor.
  • Notify FA Supervisor when review is completed, and no issues remain.
  • Friday morning, be available in case any errors are identified by FA Supervisor during process to close the fixed asset books for the current month.
  • Assist with correction of any issues.
  • FA team members are expected to work on the Saturday after Profit Day and use the extra time to meet due dates for deliverables to the FA Supervisor for quarter end close reporting

Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                    

  • The salary for this position is $32.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Fixed Asset Accountant
