Acara Solutions is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Santa Clarita CA

  • Primary job duties include leading and managing the existing EE team
  • As leader of the EE team, this engineer will oversee and participate in all phases of the EE development of medical devices from early concept through clinical use
  • The EE team is involved in all phases of product development, including circuit design and simulation, component selection and sourcing, PCB layout, circuit and system test, and test system and procedure development
  • The successful candidate will be required to plan and manage the development and prototyping of electronic circuit designs supporting active medical implant technology
  • Apply managerial, planning, engineering and scientific expertise to the evaluation and solution of project planning, resource and technical problems
  • Will work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery of a quality product
  • Responsibilities may include managing or interfacing with outside resources such as consultants, contract engineering services, vendors, and academic partners
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • MSEE

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • PHD in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in electronic analog and digital hardware design and documentation
  • Extensive years of EE experience, including a minimum of 10 years of EE group leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Medical device development under an FDA compliant quality system, or other experience with design in a regulated industry
