Description
Acara Solutions is helping our international life sciences/medical device design services and contract PCBA manufacturing client find a Technical Program Manager to join their firm as a direct salaried employee at their Milpitas, CA plant.
The position requires strong leadership skills including the ability to properly motivate and influence. This position involves leading other program managers.
- Lead and guide the Program Managers and TCS teams, to ensure program strategy and individual assignments are understood and the teams are resourced appropriately to ensure projects are completed with high-quality outcomes
- Leads cross functional team members to meets customer requirements and complies with quality policies, procedures and practices
- Drive projects to completion: proactively and continuously manage ambiguity and risks, balance competing priorities, apply superior judgment and timely decision making.
- Able to engage in technical discussion with customers during the project stages on design, BOM discrepancy and also DFx areas
- Responsible for the management, performance and completion of all projects for specified customers.
- Coordinate for the integration of a program management team that includes, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and other functional areas.
- Coordinate with the customer and Company Team (US and Offshore), manage and direct all phases of projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate Project proposal & quotation preparation, and monitor production plans and schedules.
- Maintain contact with customer regarding technical specifications. Follow up on Engineering change notifications and ensure implementation of the same.
- Ensure Production & material planning is done in accordance with the Customer's schedule and follow up on shortages Materials readiness review.
- Coordinate inter-departmental meetings to track the progress towards achieving Customer needs as well as organization goals.
- Escalation - Address complex customer requests or requirements that cannot be handled individually by the Program Manager or require senior level attention.
- Planning and Scheduling of Project transition from NPI to Production and engineering transfers.
- Coordinate with the Customer in solving any quality related issues on the floor.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (Hardware) is highly preferred. Other engineering or similar technical degree (e.g., Physics, Math) may be considered with appropriate work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of technical engineering and program/project work experience that includes direct work experience within Technical Program Management in a PCBA manufacturing industry.
- This work should include direct experience in managing complex PCBA NPI projects from R&D stage down to prototype to light prototype to pre-mass production launch and transitioning into mass production status.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Prior experience in design/R&D or PCB/system level test development is preferred
