Description

Acara solution is looking for a General Ledger Accountant for our client located in Rockwall, TX

  • Works both autonomously and with a team to complete all tasks with little supervision
  • Collaborates with business units to effect efficient, accurate and compliant accounting
  • Finalizes results and supplemental disclosure data and updating in consolidation software
  • Performs special assignments and projects as needed
  • Prepares routine journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Researches issues and proposes corrective actions or transactions
  • Reviews transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
  • Communicates with division contacts on processes, issue resolution, and problem solving
  • Coordinates month end closing activities with division personnel to ensure reporting deadlines are met
  • Supports internal and external audit requests
  • Generates reports from the ERP system

Pay and Benefits:                                                                                                    

  • The salary for this position is between $35.00 and $45.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance
  • Minimum of 6 years' of accounting experience with comprehensive knowledge of GAAP.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience in public accounting/auditing
  • Financial or accounting experience in a complex ERP environment
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Knowledge / Exposure to Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards
  • CPA Certification
  • Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion.
  • Flexible planner in terms of daily activities with ability to adeptly react to changing requirements and priorities
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills enabling monitoring of key due dates and activities
  • Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals.
