Acara Solutions is looking for a Construction Project Manager for our Client located in Bradenton, FL

  • Assists with due diligence, estimates and contract negotiations. Participates in development and reconciliation of capital estimates.
  • Protects brand standards and quality control over new development projects.
  • Ensures construction administration process is developed and executed. Manages project expenditures and job cost accounting processes including accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, and tracking.
  • Ensures compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
  • Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing.
  • Responsible for the development of the project schedule and schedule updates.
  • Performs project close out including final paperwork, job walk through and any other follow up items with restaurant operations teams.  
  • Ensures inspections and permits are approved and closed out prior to restaurant turn over dates.
  • The Construction Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Construction and provide support to the Development/Construction team.
  • This position does not currently have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial construction projects.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Architecture or Engineering
  • Multi-unit restaurant/retail
  • Experience managing subcontractors or a subcontractor-based business
  • Working knowledge of regulations and permits
  • Track record of successful project completions and high customer satisfaction
  • Focus on thorough planning, consistent communication, and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, complete multiple tasks and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Verbal and written communication and organizational skills with attention to detail and follow up
  • Negotiating, problem-solving and decision-making skills with quality and budget in mind
  • A solid level of competency in computer skills (Word, Excel, Scheduling, Estimating.)
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret written information such as procedure manuals, company communications or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
