Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in design or structural analysis of electronics modules and cabinets.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in heat transfer and fluid flow and their application to thermal design of cooling systems for electro-mechanical systems.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with electronics cooling, heat exchangers, heat pipes and other thermal control techniques.
- Experience with practical with 3-D CAD (Autodesk Inventor).
- Analysis software tools (Autodesk Simulation CFD/Mechanical or ANSYS)
- Have knowledge of Mil-Specifications and commercial standards for design, hardware, materials and processes, and testing.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Have expert knowledge of ANSYS Workbench and LS-Dyna Finite Element software.
- Be able to simulate impact shock of defense electronics.
